Hydrosols are the bi-product of the oil distillation process, so have the properties of the oil but in a much gentler form. Therefore they are safer to use on pets. Lucy (our toy poodle) gets instant relief when she has an itchy spot from playing in the grass- she stops scratching almost immediately.
